Online communities is a way for people grow relationships with others and bring them closer, while collaborating towards a common goal.  Social media is huge in this day and age. Social media is a way humans communicate with others for personal or professional reasons. This could be by direct or indirect communication. Humans are born to communicate and engage with others.

    I would have to agree with you completely on the fact that you said online communities is a way for people to grow relationships with one another. Not everyone likes or is comfortable with talking to people about certain issues face-to-face, so online communities gives a chance for others to express themselves online. Plus, the fact that social media is very popular nowadays is another great way to get involved with several individuals all over the world.
